You can create a report view, which uses the
same report specification as the source report, but has different
properties such as prompt values, schedules, delivery methods, run
options, languages, and output formats.
Creating a
report view does not change the original report. You can determine
the source report for a report view by viewing its properties. The
report view properties also provide a link to the properties of the
source report.
If the source report is moved to another location,
the report view link is not broken. If the source report is deleted,
the report view icon changes to indicate a broken link
, and
the properties link to the source report is removed.
If you
want to use a generic report as the underlying structure for additional
reports, make a copy of the report Copy an Entry. If you want a report
to appear in more than one location, create a shortcut Create a Shortcut.
Before you begin
To create a report view, you must have execute or read

to use to create the report view.
- Under Actions, click the report
view button

properties as the original entry. To change the default properties
of a report view, see Set Default Report Options. For
information about properties, see Entry Properties.
