View, Run, or Open a Report

You can view the most recent run of a report, run a report, or open a report in the authoring tool.

The default action is to view the most recent run of a report but you can select the default action that you prefer.

When you run a report in an export format such as PDF, delimited text (CSV), Microsoft Excel spreadsheet software (XLS), the IBM® Cognos® report name is used as the exported file name.

Before you begin

You must have execute permission to run a report. You must have read and traverse permissions for the folder that contains the report.

You may be requested to enter your data source credentials. For information on data source credentials, see Trusted Credentials.

Procedure

Open IBM Cognos Connection.
Click the report that you want.
